NFL Draft

Chicago
In 2015, the NFL Draft moved out of its comfort zone and made its way to the Windy City for the very first time. Not surprisingly, Chicago knocked it out of the park and the Draft was hosted in Chicago again in 2016. I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer for this event and was thrilled for the opportunity to work alongside avid football fans (despite the fact that most of them cheered for the Bears) at such an exciting and important event.

After volunteer training and gearing up for the cold rainy just-another-day-in-Chicago weather, I arrived at Grant Park ready to help run the draft in any way possible. While promoting various activities going on at the event, answering guest inquiries, and checking tickets for Selection Square, I was amazed and inspired by the cheerful moods of the fans, who - despite the dreadful cold and rain, were still just as enthused to be participating in the Draft (I expected as much from the Bears fans, but not so much for the tourists).
